MERCURY IN MEDICINE

Amalgam –The Menace in the mouth!

An increasing number of illnesses are directly related to this controversial filling material

The term “amalgam” comes from the Greek for “non-softening,” and is used in chemistry as well as dentistry to describe a mercury polymer.

Amalgam has unfortunately become best known as a filling material for dental caries.  Unfortunate, that is, because amalgam fillings frequently release a mercury vapor, particularly during chewing or grinding one's teeth at night. The mercury vapor from amalgam is fat soluable and is thus able to penetrate the body's cell membranes, which are made up of fatty acids. The blood-brain barrier is also unable to block mercury, allowing it to reach the brain unhindered. When one realizes that the body generally absorbs only 7% of elemental mercury, but can absorb up to 82% in vapor form, it becomes clear why amalgam fillings with a high percentage of mercury can become ticking time bombs.

Regardless of the pro and cons of amalgam fillings, human autopsies indicate that the concentration of mercury in the brain is directly related to the number, size, and age of an individual's amalgam fillings. The greater the size and number of fillings, the greater the toll on the brain.  The longer the fillings have been in the mouth, the stronger the toxic effects of the amalgam.

As of 1992, an estimated 200- to 300-million amalgam fillings could be found in the teeth of German citizens. Today, amalgam is primarily used for individuals with limited dental insurance, since it is the only material covered completely by state insurance policies.  In Gemany alone, circa 2000 kilograms of mercury—or more than 5 million fillings—are still put into patients' teeth each year.

EU experts have labeled amalgam as innocuous, which was to be expected since the committee was largely made up of pro-industry members.  Unfortunately, the scientific data were incorrectly interpreted, and critical studies were ignored.
Dr. Joachim Mutter

Although many of the negative effects of the toxic components of amalgam such as mercury are well known, the material remains in use not only in dentistry, but also in other areas of medicine: mercury can be found in antiseptics, blood-pressure medicines, eye drops, powders, acne medications, as well as vaccines. That means: anyone who regularly takes certain medications also needs a mercury or heavy-metal-detox to protect and/or regain their health and break the vicious cycle of mercury contaminati

Amalgam – and he Tricks of the Trade

In the USA, a convenient solution has been found for the problem of the negative effects of amalgam and other heavy metals such as palladium, copper, silver, nickel, gold and the other 20 to 30 materials used in dental fillings. The question of the materials' safety is simply avoided. Dental fillings, crowns, and the like were defined as lying outside the body, rather than having been integrated into it.  A filling, by this logic, can be classified as a type of prosthetic.

Using this administrative trick, it was possible to place amalgam fillings in the category of medical aids, along with foot baths, inhalers, bandages, crutches, and similar appliances; amalgam fillings are therefore no longer subject to official assessment, rather their safety is certified by the manufacturer.

Such a practice is clearly absurd, since, for example, the toxic effects of amalgam fillings accumulate in the uterus and are passed on as an undesired inheritance from mother to child. As a result, the newborns frequently suffer from neurodermatitis, unexplainable allergies, and neurological abnormalities.

The toxic load has become such a serious problem that, in the USA, the umbilical cords of newborns must be disposed of as hazardous waste due to their toxicity.  That should give all would-be mothers something to reflect on. Any woman who is planning to bring a child into this world and has been exposed to the effects of amalgam fillings should seek immediate amalgam-decontamination treatment, and should undertake an amalgam replacement and/or Heavymetal-Detox (see also protocols for more information on safe amalgam removal).

Amalgam Poisoning—Symptoms and their Role in Illness

Amalgam or mercury does not simply disappear from the body, as many dentists continue to claim. It is true that, after approximately six weeks, amalgam/mercury cannot be detected in the blood. This does not mean, however, that the amalgam/mercury is no longer present; in fact, the opposite is true. In animal experiments, radioactive-markered mercury from amalgam fillings appeared in the kidneys, brain, bone marrow, adrenal glands, ovaries or testicles, and intestinal lining within 24 hours; since the mercury had incorporated itself into the internal organs, it was no longer traceable in the blood.

The list of symptoms associated with amalgam- and mercury poisoning is long.  Nearly all metabolic disorders and illnesses can potentially be linked to amalgam and the mercury it releases. This includes various symptoms associated with the central nervous system, an array of indications in the gastrointestinal tract, the circulatory and immune systems, and damages to other organ systems.

Therefore, all patients with amalgam fillings should undergo an amalgam restoration, and should undertake an amalgam replacement or heavy metal detox in order to take control of their amalgam poisoning as soon as possible.

Here follows a long list of illnesses and disorders which, according to homeopathic specialists and traditional healers, are closely connected to amalgam- or heavy metal-poisoning:

Anemia, low blood iron, Alzheimer´s, muscle pain, osteoporosis, diverticulitis, inflammation of the kidneys, kidney malfunction, liver failure, liver disease, stomach illness, ulcers, hyperactivity, constipation, headache, acid reflux, muscle weakness, croup, cardiac weakness, high blood pressure, Raynaud's disease, brittle fingernails, fatigue, disorientation, burning sensation in the hands and feet, arthritis, neuromuscular problems, vertigo, skin rash, depression, schizophrenia, autism, scleroderma, Atherosclerosis, dementia, rage, Parkinson's, tremors, waxy skin.

Mercury-Detox essential after Amalgam-removal

Anyone with amalgam fillings suffers from a mercury poisoning after a number of years and thus requires an amalgamremoval and a mercury detox. Since insurance companies ignore the problem and do not cover the costs of these procedures, however, it is rare that such treatments are readily offered to the individuals who need them. This displays incredible ignorance, since the toxicity of amalgam is well documented in numerous independent studies. Independent means that the studies were not reliant upon donations from sponsors and their respective industries.

The effects of amalgam and mercury are always neurotoxic, regardless of the amount the body has absorbed. In addition, mercury has synergistic effects with many forms of bacteria, other metals, mycotoxins, and chemicals. A simple amalgam replacement or detox using chemical chelators is not, therefore, expedient in itself. It is far better to use a systemic heavy metal-detox with chlorella algae, developed by Dr. Tim Ray using a special cold process, which are 50 times stronger and free the body not only of amalgamcontaining mercury  and other heavy metals, but also chemical toxins and mycotoxins (e.g. toxins from molds) as well. Micronized chlorella algae has, therefore, a special position worldwide in the process of amalgam replacement and mercury detox.

For safe and effective amalgam replacement and detox, use the detox products from the Biologo-Detox-Line.
