The Detox Miracle: Micronized Chlorella Algae

What chlorella algae can do for your health, and why the coldprocessed micronized form of chlorella is of particular note in the detox process.

Chlorella algae is a single-celled, green freshwater algae with a high affinity for binding heavy metals and other toxic substances, thus lending itself to the detox process.  However, chlorella has only gradually become accepted as a natural detox agent for two reasons.

Some chlorella products have been contaminated with pesticides and heavy metals, making them more of a toxin themselves than a detox agent. In addition, most of the common chlorella products can cause unpleasant digestive difficulties such as flatulence.

The need to circumvent these problems led to the production of cell wall broken chlorella. This idea continues to be marketed, but a 400x magnification using dark field miscropcopy shows that the cell walls remain perfectly intact or at best slightly cracked, even in top chlorella products.

In 2001, Dr. Tim Ray achieved the first real breakthrough in putting chlorella's full potential to use by developing the process of micro-processing (Biologo-Technology) – a cold processing procedure all the products in the Biologo-Detox-Line are based on. This cold processing procedure is important since because of this procedure the algae doesn’t lose any vital nutrients and the chlorella growth factor remains intact. Chlorella in its micronized form developed by Dr. Ray posesses a surface area that is at least 500 times larger than that of conventional chlorella. This increase in surface area increases the chlorella's ability to bind toxins by a factor of 50, making it possible for the chlorella to act as a viable detoxifying agent. This includes a detoxification of heavy metals, chemical toxins and mycotoxins, toxins from fungus like mold or other. The absorption of the nutrients contained within the chlorella cell wall into the bloodstream is optimized as well, reaching nearly 100% for chlorella in micronized form.

A half gram of micronized chlorella is stronger than 25 grams of a conventional chlorella product. IN order to achieve detox with normal chlorella a person would have to take so much it would actually harm them, but this problem is overcome with micronized chlorella because one can achieve the detox result with 1/50th of the amount of chlorella required to do so. Micronized chlorella is therefore optimal for detoxing and holds a special place in the detox process. Micronized chlorella binds and eliminates heavy metals, and at the same time has the ability to rid the body of chemical toxins and micotoxins. Because chlorella binds to heavy metals, chemicals and mycotoxins it is not as limited in its effectiveness as chemical chelators (e.g. DMPS) are in detoxification. To truly derive the benefits from detox, because of the synergy between the toxins, one must eliminate all three groups: the heavy metals, the chemicals, and the mycotoxins.

In the USA, a study of detoxification was undertaken using an AAS, or Atomic Absorbtion Spectrometer. The objective was to find out how much chlorella is necessary to bind the mercury released from a patient's almagam fillings and reduce the patient's mercury levels to zero.

Remarkably, the test showed that 500 mg of a leading product using cell wall broken chlorella are required to achieve the same results as 10 drops (= 10 mg) of micronized chlorella.

In addition to this extraordinary increase in the micronized chlorella's ability to bind toxins, the assimilation of its components—and therefore its bioavailability---are increased to 100%.

Chlorella-- the Nutrient-Wonder

All nutritive substances listed below can, in microprocessed form, be resorbed and utilized optimally by the body. Micronized chlorella is therefore a „Super Food,“ or a nutrient with medicinal properties.

The following are the components which occur in significant quantities in chlorella:

• Vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K1, all important B-vitamins
• Iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, zinc
• The highest amount of beta-carotin and lutein in any plant (lutein is particularly important for the photoreceptors in the eyes, and can prevent ambylopia and the deterioration of the eyes' rods and cones that occurs, for example, with macular degeneration)
• Greatest amount of nucleic acids (ribonucleic acids and deoxyribonucleic acids)
• Greatest amount of usable protein found in any plant (comparable to the amino acids found in chicken eggs)
• High amounts of inositol, important in the regeneration and detoxification of the liver
• Methionine, an amino acid containing sulphur
• Chlorella growth factor (CGF)
• Extremely high amount of chlorophyll (five to ten times higher than in other algae or leafy plants)
• Sporopollenin, a substance found on the chlorella's cell walls and a key player in toxin removal. Sporopollenin binds heavy metals, solvents, pesticides, and reliably prevents a retoxification in the intestine.

Chlorella and its practical uses

Chlorella is used as a healing agent both interally and externally. Physicians, traditional healers, and nutritionists recommend the use of micronized chlorella algae to fight a broad spectrum of lifestyle diseases.

The most imporant are:

• arthritis
• digestive disorders
• diabetes
• skin problems
• weakened immune system
• ADHD and hyperactivity

Micronized chlorella has the extraordinary ability to stimulate the body's own healing and detox powers. Chlorella stimulates the growth process and is therefore ideal for children, particularly when mental and physical growth has been slowed or hindered. Chlorella invigorates the body's metabolism and aids in the repair and recovery of damaged tissues, if it can be digested and assimilated- which is only possible with the micronized form. Chlorella's high chlorophyll content encourages wound healing, and for this reason it is used in naturpathy both internally and externally.

Chlorella strengthens the body's metabolism as a whole, and the proof of an improved state of health can be observed in the regeneration of hair and nails, largely the result of high concentrations of nucleic acids (RNA and DNA). This high concentration explains chorella's unique ability to reproduce itself on a large scale. Chlorella has enormous reproductive capacity, and can, in fact, quadruple its population in 20 hours.

The Chlorella Growth Factor

In the 1950s, Japanese researcher Fujimaki isolated a previously unknown substance in chlorella algae, known today as CGF (chlorella growth factor). CGF is a peptide complex comprised primarily of the vital, essential saccharide nutrients, including glucose, mannose, rhamnose, arabinose, galactose, and xylose. In addition to these essential saccharides, chlorella also contains an array of important amino acids such as alanine, serine, glycine, proline, asparagine, treonine, lysine, cysteine, thyrosine, and leucine.

CGF is present in every chlorella algae but is usually not bioavailable. Only through the micronization process is CGF released into solution, and the products of the Biologo-Detox Line which contain micronized chlorella are therefore particularly exceptional in that they all contain bioavailable CGF. The CGF in the the Biologo-Detox-Line products, which the chlorella diatom originally uses for reproductive efficiency, in humans serves to accelerate tissue repair and healing in general.

Japanese researcher Dr. Yoshiro Takechi demonstrated, for instance, that CGF could increase the growth rate of beneficial lactose bacteria in the intestines to four times the normal factor. Other experiments with microorganisms, young animals, and later with children also showed an increased healthy rate of growth. In each case, chlorella activates solely the indiviual's untapped potential for growth, but never abnormal cellular growth such as a cyst, myoma, or tumor. CGF is, therefore, also recommended for cancer patients.
